All Cell Phone Numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive calls, you will be charged for these calls.To prevent this call 888 382 1222 from the cell phone you want blocked " this is a National Do not Call Listing"

Your www.fcc.gov was last updated in Dec 2008 but thats OK at least the phone number was correct for the cell phone do not call.

Actually it was last updated on October 17, 2008, and hasn't been updated since because nothing has changed.

I'll ignore it.
I can't be bothered to look at anything, including snopes, since this is a cause of cost upon the recipient. There is no way what you described will happen.

The charge would be against the minutes on your plan not the cost of the call. I believe this is happening now by telemark cos. So if you want to give up your minutes do nothing.

there was a post here a few months ago that gave the info, It only takes a minute to get on the list, just like the old land line thing..

I don't believe this will effect our area code, we don't get many off Island telemarketer calls here.
