cell coverage improver
There is a new product form at&t that brings a mini cell tower into your home. With this and a dsl connection, I think we might be able to get cell service in our homes, for those that don't have it or improve signal if yours is weak. Cost of the unit is $150, and there is an all you can eat service plan for $20/mo. Optional. Service is not available here yet, but if you go to this link and click on availability checker, you can put in your zip code and email address and they will notify you when available. If they are waiting for demand to put this in then the more people we have sign in the availability checker and use 00802 or other VI zip, then we might get this here. You may not want it, but it would be nice to have available someday. No cost to log in.

That's great a another device for only $20 / month because they can't supply you with a good signal to begin with.
Here in AZ I can't hardly get service in my house or in my shop. I have to go out onto the driveway. It is getting worse not better. I thought it was my I Phone but it works better in STX then my Blackberry did.
now all you need is a viable dsl connection around here 🙂
of course if you have that and an iPhone, you can just use iPhone with a wi-fi and skype and pay nothing extra for the same result.
If you can get service outside the building but not inside you can install a cell booster.
Only works where you can reliably get a signal outside.
No monthly cost.
How and where can you get one of those? What are they called?
Search cell booster and you'll see several different types. Make sure to get the right frequency for your carrier.
Sprint has a product that looks like a mini tower in your home. But it needs a DSL connection. Price is 99 but they will waive the price and make in a dollar and waive the 4.95 a month fee for two years. Now I have ordered one for my home in NJ and I will report on how it works.
