Carlos Furniture STX
I see they're opening a store on STT. Their website looks good. Is this a good thing for STT?
Have purchased from them in the past. They were ok to deal with. Prices were ok for STX.
Have bought a washer/ drier and a fridge from them. Good prices and they delivered the fridge free at 5:00 PM Saturday ! Did charge to haul off the old one. HD and KMart would not deliver on Sat and was going to charge for both delivery and disposal.
Thanks. Do you know who owns the store? Do they have good merchandise?
I've had good luck with Carlos on STX.
Where in STT will they be located?
Website?
They've taken space at Tutu Park Mall near F.Y.E. on the way to the food court.
Website is http://www.carlosfurnitureusvi.com or http://www.carlosfurniturevi.com
Let me know what you think.
Are they now open or planning an opening?
Not open yet. I think they've put down a deposit for a space, but I think they should move closer to Vision Center. Owner is off island until late this week.
Pretty much like every other Arab furniture store in the VI. Low to mid grade furniture selling for much more than it should.
Sigh. Thanks, Matt. I was wondering about that. You don't get that impression from their website.

Unfortunately, due to past experiences with purchases from Arab owned stores, I no longer will buy anything, from any of them.
This is my personal choice based on my personal past experiences. If Carlos Furniture is also Arab owned I shall not be patronizing them, either. I looked at the website and when I found something that actually had a price listed, it was way too expensive for what it was.
Ludicrous is the word that came to mind. There went any excitement I may have had. Think I'll stick with the Furniture (Ageo/sp?) store out in Bovoni as the furniture is substanstial, their are different choices, wears, well and lasts, plus they can special order.
I wouldn't buy anything, either. I was so hoping they were anything but. I didn't check their web prices, because I like to see and touch items.

I do too, usually but when I saw the prices that they did have listed, it was quite a turn off.
Cheaper to Fly to PR and make a weekend of shopping for better quality items and relax around a pool, after.
i think we bought our bedroom set from them, it is real wood and not the pressed crap that is out there. i love it but sadly the cats like running and jumping on it. we have had it for 6 years now and other than cat scratched, is in good shape.
i am not sure where we bought our couch and chair from-but i HATE it. i hate the material, and i hate the shape of the area where your head goes.
