Noticed that Carambola made it to this month's Travel & Leisure's reader's poll as one of the best deals in the Caribbean.

That should inject some interest in touring to the island.

my parents stayed there for a few days last week and we were blown away by it. staff was very nice/helpful, rooms were modern and comfortable. great views. and the beach area had some amazing areas for the kids to play and the adults to boogy board. it deserves every bit of mention!

Hi longislandAl - do you have a link to an article? I'd enjoy sharing that information with others! 🙂

Sorry JulieKay.. I tried to find the link on T&L's web site and had no success. I get the hard copy of the magazine and it was in the March issue. Didn't give any details other than to have it listed as one of the top 5 best values in Caribbean.

We spent a few days there last summer before heading off island and the new rooms are FANTASTIC (I think the only thing comparable that I've seen are the Buccaneer'snewer villas that are on the beach.) If I had known about them ahead of time we would have had some stacations on island since I have a ton of Marriott points to blow.

I stayed at the Carambola several years ago and I was quite impressed with the property (the fact that I got an $89 a night rate was also great). Congrats to all the people who work at Carambola

I love Carambola, but I am REALLY not happy about the false advertising on their website. I called both the hotel and the Marriott 800 number, and no one knew what I was talking about. The website offers a $159/night rate for locals. If they don't want to continue to offer that, fine, but they need to change their website!
