Car Dealerships
What vehicle dealerships are on STT? Specifically wondering if there are the following dealerships on STT:
General Motors?
Ford?
Nissan?
Dodge?
Any other foreign made brand names?
They are all pretty much here. No Mercedes, BMW, Subaru, Volvo, or Jaguar.
We have Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Kia, Suzuki as well as those you have mentioned.

Thanks Ronnie!
You can find them all at www.viphonebook.com
Yes. The light bulb was a little delayed but finally went off and I checked out the VI Phone Book yesterday. Though, it was sometimes tough to tell what Make was being sold by dealers even with the yellow page advertisements. But, I have enough of what I need. I didn't see Nissan in any of the ads or VI Phone Book listing though we're really looking hard at the Nissan Frontier. Does anyone know if there's a dealer for Nissan?
I might mention what I'm up to.... Since GM, Ford, etc are doing this "Everyone can get the employee discount" program, consumers are taking advantage of the deals so much so that GM & Ford have lowest inventory in a very very long time. Therefore, a glut of 2 or 3 year old trucks here (trade-ins). Combined with 2006 vehicles coming out next month, we're hoping to get extra special price for fairly new previously owned vehicle (1-3 year old). The used vehicles are still under warranty so we're trying to do our homework and make sure we get a make that's offered by dealers in STT.
We've tossed back/forth whether to buy a vehicle in STT or Continental US and after much deliberation (and reviewing advise/comments on this board), right or wrong, we've decided to purchase in the Continental US and ship. In case you're interested, see the following reasons for our decision (of course, when you get down to it, it ends up being a personal decision/choice).
1. We have a specific purpose and therefore specific models required to meet that purpose.
2. After researching for over a year, many of the used vehicles we've checked out on STT (Carmax - VIN # - $25 to check the vehicle history), have been suspect (wrecked in the Continental US or "no history"....hmmmm). Not ALL but enough to make us stop and think.
3. We're on Water Island seasonally which adds extra burden in getting vehicle repair and parts.
4. And finally, I'm tired of spending all (no exaggeration) our precious time on island fixing the vehicle and searching/waiting for parts. We would like to minimize this frustration as much as possible. (Note, MINIMIZE. The island adventure/experience/environment does not allow total carefree life when it comes to a bucket of metal with moving / mechanical parts.
John's Auto Center, as you enter Sub Base, carries Mazda, Nissan, and Kia.
