Candidate for Governor of the V.I.
You should really get some professional help regarding your obsession with the governor. It's not healthy.
Just give me the name of your shrink. I need to know which shrink not to go to because obviously he is not helping you with your protective obsession either.
Correct me if I am wrong about his graduation age..
Hilarious. You make a big deal about something trivial, see a connection which to you is a monumental cause celebre and yet aren't even sure that it is indeed the truth, that you might be wrong? None of what you spout as "facts" is credible and there's really no point in challenging the plethora of street corner rubbish you blithely toss out as the day only has so many hours and wasting them on such nonsense is hardly a fruitful exercise. But keep trash-talking as it is from time to time quite rib-tickling!
I am sure that John Percy deJongh Jr. Turned 20 the same year he graduated from high school according to his biography. Facetiously, if you are not sure or have information to the contrary, please print it and your source. It was not uncertaintity that prompted my request. It was a dare. The point of it all is that you think he is brilliant, and I think he is at the very least, an idiot.

Total disinterest in playing silly games on such trivial issues. And please don't put words in my mouth. I have never opined that the Governor is "brilliant". Oh, wait though, (and not facetiously) feel free to print the attributed comment and the source if you have information to the contrary. 😀
I no longer have a dog in the USVI political scene. But during the time we lived there I have a good impression of the present governor and disgust for the senate.

Interesting. They have given the current governor everything he wanted if not instantly then on the second go around. I am a former supporter of this governor, who was impressed with his demeanor and surface knowledge, his accent, and style. I have come to be displeased with his hiring en masse of political appointees, one billion dollars in borrowing, and the degree of subsidies for rum companies (46% now compared to 5% before). I voted for him in 2002 and 2006. I do not regret those votes because he had no record. But you only have to drive down the roads or see the comments Dept of Commerce over the broadband scheme VINGN regarding financial controls, and I have lost faith in ability to lead the territory. HE is likable. His management is not.
Regarding the senate, I think we can agree that they are compromised. Tax liabilities, conflicts with family members working in political positions for the executive branch.
DeJongh's latest move is to veto legislation to provide Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails. Why? The next candidate for senate or governor or any seat will have to repudiate John DeJongh to get my vote.
Your propensity for mentally ingesting a headline while failing to read further to understand the rationale behind such a decision is quite remarkable. Read a little further to get FACTS.
OT - are these the FACTs you speak of?

A "key" element of this article is this statement, "DeJongh said even if he were to approve the measures, they could not be implemented before the Nov. 6 election."
OK ... so this (to me) means that if he did approve it, then it would be in place for the election in 2013 or later. He used the 6 month limitation as an excuse to veto it .... plain and simple ... since he most likely did not agree or had some other rationale. Or am I just stupid .... again?
