BVI to STT

My husband and I have been living on Tortola for a while and are thinking about a move to St. Thomas (we are both from the US originally). What we worry about is that we do not like living in the BVI. We have been to STT quite a few times to visit K-Mart, but have never really spent much time there. Does STT have the power problems like Tortola? Are the grocery stores more like you would find in the US? What about fitness centers? One thing we miss are the conveniences of the US. Can any one compare STT to Tortola?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In my opinion, STT and STX are slightly better from an infrastructure point of view than Tortola. There are still phantom power outages and too frequent sewage problems, but all in all I think you will find that the internet and telephones (you can call to the states on cellulars for no extra charge) are better than on Tortola.

You already know that the shopping ,prices and selection are better on St Thomas than on tortola.
