Hello Everyone
When I arrive on STT, find an apartment and get settled in, I am planning on buying a TV. How much would a 20-27" Stereo TV go for on STT at the local KMart or electronics store? Or are Garage/Yard Sales common on STT ? Are they a good place to find bargains?

I can't comment about Kmart, but was amazed at how many things were for sale in "The Island Trader" newspaper. Everything from yard sales, items for sale, and relocating back to the mainland-everything must go sales.

I think new AND used TVs are over-priced here. (e.g. we paid the same price here for our 27", that we paid at Sears back in Ca. for a 35"). But, as Jay mentioned, there are numerous garage sales to choose from (at least until the season is in full-swing). Also, Ronnie and others have had success with teh local retailers like Royal Caribbean and Boolchands.
