buying a car question
Not being snarky... i've seriously owned the same car since it was new in 2001.
I have very little experience with buying cars and even less with dealerships.
Could we please stay on topic and help CAtoSTX buy a car on Stt? It's hard enough, then we get off topic about repairs and services which she isn't interested in at this point.
-Please, give some pointers when dealing with used car dealerships and buying a used car in general as you can see she needs some help from her quote above.
The OP asked about CAM. Why do people think they're evil. It wasn't specifically just about buying a car.
I asked about other dealerships as well if you read the thread.
I went to CAM today - Never felt pressured or put on the spot.
Did you all know they own the Toyota dealer too?
The guys are 4 winds are getting more cars next week that i'm intending to look at + thanks to BC's advice I will see what they say about having my own mechanic take a look.
For the record -
We are looking for a newer but still USED car (prefer 2006 or later)
Something that sits higher than our 4-door sedan And not as cumbersome/hard to climb into as my Misubishi Nativa (montero sport)
- we haven't decided which car we are going to replace first - depends on what we find.
Budget $14K.... but again that depends if we trade in or all cash.
I recently had to replace a disc brake rotor on my Wrangler. CAM wanted $166 for a new rotor. I bought one at Quality Auto Parts for $45. It was new and looked like the OEM one that it replaced.
Yes. I new they own Toyota. They own about nine franchises. Pressure or not, trust me when I tell you. You are getting hosed!
rotor,
It looked like the OEM one because it was. That's because the same manufacturer produces both. The car companies don't make their own parts.
