I'll stop by tomorrow and see what they have but a quick look at their site showed mostly books I already have and read or not interested in reading. I'll check it out. Thanks for posting as there isn't anything else on island.

I regularly go to the Humane Society's well-stocked and well-categorized new library and, at $1 for hardbacks and 50¢ for paperbacks plus a huge and varied selection which changes all the time, I'm not sunning out of reading material any time soon!

Your right, ot. I do check them out but miss browsing in a real bookstore. I have so many books that I need to make a stop there to decrowd my bookshelves! I just hate getting rid of my books.

Caught my typo, "sunning" instead of "running" although it's amusing as I do the majority of my book-reading while sunning!

Do get your books down to the library as I love new additions - always re-donate the ones I buy. I used to hold onto books for years but now only keep very special ones, either those I re-read or some which are out of print and impossible to replace.

I drove by looking for it today and couldn't find it. It's in the building with the little restaurant? I didn't drive in the back, but didn't see any sign. Help!

You should have called them. I haven't been. I read about it in the paper.

Think it's in back where fortress storage and the furniture place is located. Haven't been back there in awhile. If I find it, I'll let you know.

Didn't find it but I was limited in time to spend looking. I did see they have 2 new places to eat back there. I'll try to check next week, if I remember!

It was where I thought it was, and it's very small. Not a large variety of books, but there were some vegan cookbooks I might consider for me and some friends. May be good for taking your young kids.

The store is in the bldg that houses Dorene's Garden of Eating, Heavenly Bites, and the consignment store, but you have to drive to the right of that bldg and go up the stairs of the open door and make a right and go almost to the end of the bldg.

No sign for the businesses on the second floor.

There is also a vegan food booth in that corridor, and they were pretty busy as was Dorene's and Heavenly Bites. Who would have guessed?

Thanks 411! That was the building I thought. No wonder I didn't see it. Good scouting! 😉

Thanks, but I know the area well. They used to advertise that second floor "mall" a few years ago, and I used to buy things there. I was surprised at the number of people supporting the businesses, but that area is really growing with the new professional condos expanding.

Heavenly Bites has been there for a few years. Very nice, stateside quality, cupcakes that are suitable for company and special occasions. Made from scratch in a variety of flavors.
