board posters get together STX

My sweetie and I are arriving in STX on Sat. the 24th (we hope - we're flying as stand bys, she's a flight attendant)

If you hold this get together on either the 25th or April 1st, we would love to attend. Actually, if it's held at any time between the 24th and April 3rd, we'd love to attend.

THe 25th sounds ok with me. How about the rest of you out there?

Susan and I will have to miss this one. We'll be in Breckenridge -- it's our son's spring break. He's at Colorado College and, instead of his coming home for spring break, we're going there to do some cross-country skiing. We don't get home until late the 26th. Have fun, y'all, and sip a couple of mango rum punches for us!

On the 25th we'll be on our way back from the Buffett concert on Anguilla and probably won't be back to Green Cay until pretty late.

April Fools Day will almost be a full moon.

We would love to schedule a visit around one of your get togethers and meet the gang. I'm so disappointed we can't come this month. (shawno & I are going to the Grand Canyon/ Vegas)
Sometime over the next few months we'd love to make a trip and stay at a place that has a similar look and feel of the Secret Harbour beach front units on STT. Any suggestions on STX? At this point in our life it can be difficult to get away spur of the moment- we have 3 dogs over the age of 15 and a mentally retarded young adult who lives with us. As you can imagine, we have to plan ahead. That being said, I have an idea for next year. We are looking into spending the month of February at the place on STT that rents for $800/month (sorry- forgot the name already)

How about the next weekend non Sat the 31st, or Sun the 1st. I just have to do it befoe the 5th when I have to leave:( :(.

I don't know that place, so I can't comment. Maybe someone else can be of help. Camabola is very nice, but I think(?) they are pricey. Divi Hotel is nice as well, right on the beach, price range what I consider to be reasonable. The hotel on Prostant Cay looks nice, good location, but our realatives that stayed there in Nov. weren't impressed with the condition of the rooms. No hot water for one, but that may have be corrected by now. They were there on the time share program, and they said it was the worst one they every stayed in. But their expectation level may be too high, and comparing it with places in hawaii, etc.

So is the 31st or the 1st of April ok with every one??? I leave tomorrow for STX and won't have much or any access to this board. So if the date changes or the place, Full Moon Bar at Cane Bay , or time 12:00 noon will someone please PM me or email me at nxcess@cox.net. I am able to get my emails.

LindaJ & I will be either at the Full Moon or on Cane Bay Beach on Saturday March 31 from about noon on. We would welcome any and everyone to join us.

Sylvia and I will make plans to be there also, Saturday the 31st, shortly after noon.

So we meet on the beach March 31st.
Then we will decide where or if to eat?

so is this get together for veterans or can newbies join in? I'll be visitng for a week beginning 3/30 so might be able to join. How often are these gatherings held?

Of course, anyone on-island who is interested is more than welcome.

We don't have any schedule. Usually someone expresses an interest in going to the beach or having a meal and we announce the day, time and place here.

You will always find a group of locals on Cane Bay on Satruday and Sunday.

A few of us got together and met some new friends. We met on the beach and then moved to the Full Moon for lunch. Hope that no one showed up and couldn't find us. Didn't see joethebartender or danieljude.
Maybe next time in Nov we will have a better turn out. But we still had a nice time.
