Best prices for Gas and Diesel on STT
Since I'm not one to wait until the last minute now that systems have begun to churn off the coast of Africa, I decided it was time to buy some diesel for my generator this morning. I was getting low after all our WAPA outages.
I went to Boynes down by the airport.
It's just past Community Motors.
Take the right on corner where ABC Car Rental is located.
Just down that street on the right.
Regular gas was $1.70 per gallon.
Diesel was $3.29 per gallon.
The nice lady there filled my six 5 gallon containers, topped off my tank for my truck and cleaned my windshield!
Good ting.
How do all the gas stations in STX jump 40cents within days? They all run out at the same time? And did the rack rate really increase 40 cents? Or are we getting gouged because everyone needs to top off their generators and cars before the storms start?
Seasonal gouge.
bobn, i was wondering the same.
How much does it cost to load the tanker trucks onto barges and bring them to STT? Those costs are calculated into the final price aren't they?

Yes, they are.
It all adds up.

It all adds up.
So it's the rack price plus transportation fees?
