Best Pizza on STX?
What do you think? I haven't tried many places but I do love some Napolean's. I've a hankering for cheesed bread and pepperonis tonight though...
Divi.
Have tried them all and the hands down favorite goes to The Lost Dog.
Lost Dog for me!!!
i like flat iron grill and the courtyard
Haven't tried Lost Dog. Saw some slices yesterday that looked tasty, though.
Off the Wall and Divi. Flat Iron Grill is pretty good as well.
Pizza Hut and sometimes the Mill.
Tutto Bene's personal pizza's needs to be in this conversation
Blue water terrace
It's hard to say who has the "best" pizza as I like different pizza differently but two of my favorite "unique" types on island are Napolean's seafood slice (I also like their chicken mushroom due to the awesome white sauce on it), and Pizza Mare's Curry chicken pizza slice. Very unique and very good. Napolean's has the best New York style slices with the "reheat" that gives you the crispy crust so if you like NY style slices I highly recommend them. Getting a whole pie there isn't the same as it doesn't get the "reheat."

agree with stiphy on Napoleon's -- great crust. Another thing I love about Napoleon's is the quickness -- I can be in and out in less than 5 minutes with a good meal to go. How many other places onisland can you say that about?
i will try some of these out! i had napolean's tonight b/c i was over at CUL. it was as yummy as ever! indeed, the crust is excellent!
I'll try napoleans, but with replies like Pizza Hut and the Dog, my philly born expectations will be tempered.
The pizza on island is nothing to write home about. But you are not coming here for the pizza. Stateside napoleons is medicore. But here it's cheap, filling and good. Crust is boring to me. Lost Dog is either incredible good or taste like tin. The Mill is also very hit or miss. Chef/cooks/owners are transient so food in some restaurants is very inconsistent.
If you move here and you are picky about food you better know how to cook! The Mexican on island is wretched so I make my own. Pizza on the other hand is no big deal to me except I like a crispy crunchy crust. The only ones that have that are Pizza Hut and Plaza Extra grocery store that steams their pizzas, really they are good as well.
i don't find plaza's crust to be crispy but i sure do love the pizza. i think on a good day totto bene has a good crispy crust. they are not consistant.
Where is the Lost dog?
Lost dog is in Frederiksted on King Street (one street up from the waterfront).
Oh ya, and I vote for Lost Dog too! Just had pizza there tonight. Yum yum!
