According to their website (Best Buy International Shipping), they can. It's considered international though, so I'm sure you'll pay through the nose! Good luck.

I THINK IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO PURCHASE

I finally gave up and bought it from Wally World and had it shipped to my stateside who will turn around and ship it to me. Buying an APC power stabilizer. Funny. The model under the one I'm buying wouldn't ship via WM but this one will. Great programmers, no? #$@$%%&&**&()

As long as I get it before WAPA gets me...

BTW, I went to Amazon but it was more.

In the future, Walmart will actually ship directly here. I've had tons of stuff shipped here -- usually for 97 cents!

i think it also depends on what it is. i have tried in the past to purchase computers and tv's form both sites and they will not ship those here. and one of the sites not sure which would not ship computer games.

Apparently a couple of sites (Costco I think was one) have figured out that VI Cargo's address is a freight forwarder and the things they won't send you direct to USVI they now won't send to VI Cargo....bummer.

Why would they care if its a freight forwarder? It's not illegal or anything, you pay all duties here which is handled by VI Cargo. That makes 0 sense to me...

Sean - I'm with you but I had that problem when we were getting married. Two different places told me they wouldn't send what I ordered to a freight forwarder. Neither could explain why.

I don't understand the reasoning but I've seen that even on sites that will ship items here many items will be marked as not for export or for sale in the CONUS only (meaning they exclude even Alaska and Hawaii.) I used to think it had something to do with import tariffs paid on goods that came into the US but I couldn't really find a consistent pattern.

What gets my goat is there are places that will ship with any method but USPS and USPS is now the cheapest way to ship things here for items that aren't oversized.

Last year, I found out that tigerdirect.com (a "Computer & Electronics Internet Store") won't ship to a freight forwarder, unless I pay by money order, check, or wire transfer. In other words, not by credit card. When I asked why, they said they will only ship directly to the customer. I can only guess that using freight forwarders results in a higher incidence of damaged or lost merchandise, which means the customer can dispute the charge on the credit card. But with other forms of payment, the merchant still gets paid.

I just bought some stuff on eBay. I love that place, because you can find so many obscure little things there, and most of the sellers ship via USPS.

If you buy appliances be careful. Most do not accept the warranty. I shipped down a whole house of appliances with lots of other stuff on a trailer when I was rebuilding my house down here. The frig when in a few weeks. Then I got the bad news, not covered but I could ship it back and they would look at it. I found an excellent appliance guy here in STT and he fixed it. But it cost.

By the way price mart has an online ordering system.

So beware.

I just bought a bifocal SCUBA mask through Amazon. It came in a few days with just normal USPS postage of a few dollars.

I had wanted to order a diver's watch from Joe Diver. Watch about $40. S&H $85. I bought local. (When I commented on the high S&H, they replied, "We have to make money some way."

For electronics, bhphotovideo.com ships here and, most of the time, prices are very competitive. Good bunch of New Yorkers...

Yeah, I've ordered clothing, electronics, tarot cards, all kinds of stuff from Amazon. They're really reliable, as long as you're ordering something stocked by amazon.com itself, rather than a secondary seller.

As noted above, I ordered from Amazon and received a diving mask.

They have relaxed their shipping rules recently. A few years ago it was books, music and games only but now they seem to be shipping more stuff here!
