Can anyone give me any info on daily babysitters/daycare providers.

Myself and my husband are relocating in 3 weeks. The children are both going to full time school but are not old enough to be left alone on days off... (school semesters have quite a few days off that I wont with my new job)

If anyone could give me any info on day care facilities that provive care on these kjind of days or know of anyone who babysits on a now and again basis i would really appreciate it...

Thanks so much...

P.S: This is the most awsome communication board I have every been too. Thanks to everyone who posts here for all the valuable info.. It certainly makes moving to the Island alot easier. It hads also answered ALL my questions in regard to all the fears and wonders we every had.... Thanks everyone...

I hope that someday we will be able to get together with some of you in STT.

I too would like information on day cares or day camps. I am looking for a job in child care on STT. Good luck in relocating, Rachel. Hopefully I will soon follow.

Hey Kristi,

Thanks for replying.

When are you planning on moving to STT?

If you get there and start up a day care facility, which from what I've read on this board, seems like a brill opportunity, be sure to let me know. I need somewhere for the kids to go on there days off when myself and ray will be in work ie: veterans day, memorial day etc...

Keep in touch... Good luck in getting ready for your move..

I'm moving to STT at the end of August and until I get stable work, I'm interested in baby-sitting/nannying. Love kids, etc.

I'll be in the Red Hook and NE side of the island

Hi Rachel,
I arrive (with big doggie in tow) Aug 29. I'm more comfortable with kids the age of your children than babies (just less experience with babies), but I'd love to connect and figure out if we could discuss an arrangement. My boyfriend arrives 3 wks earlier, and we and the dog have an apt near Mendehl's Beach. He should have a car for us by the time I arrive, so it should be easy for me to find you. I don't have any children, but I have spent a lot of time baby-sitting for an 11 yr old and an 8 yr old this past year. Plus I have nieces and nephews (5 of them) ranging from 9rs -2yrs, and I think 3yr olds are pretty fun!
Will you be starting work right away? When does the school year start on St Thomas?

Hey Molly

Thanks for the reply.

I move on the 8th of August and the children start school on August 23rd. My children are very well behaved and adjust to all forms of day care, schooling and social and academic standards.

I will be starting work the day they start school but will definatley need someone to look after them on all the school days off. I am also expecting in Early march so will be looking for a full time babysitter from april on... If you are interrested in taking that on we can certainly discuss it...

Babies are awesome... and I would say alot easier and less physically demanding that the older ones!!!!! So maybe you might think about taking on a baby...No playing catch... eye-spy....coloring for hours or tickle fights!!!!

Keep in touch...

Email me a quick email and I will give you my telephone number and we can chat...

Look forward to chatting with you.

Hi Rachel,
Drop me an email at allenmolly@hotmail.com and leave me your number and we can talk more. I'm not sure how to email you other than by posting on this message board. Will you be working full-time and need someone to watch the kids after school until you get home or mainly just on days that the kids don't have school?

Have a great weekend, I also look forward to chatting.
Molly
