If it's STX -then by all means go to Marvellous Auto Repair on Midland Road -just west of Capitol Gas Station about 3/4 mile. Phone # is 719-7551. Marvin (aka Marvellous Marvin) has done a lot of work for me and some friends. Very reputable mechanic -has a 1st class operation with his crew.

I like Pete and Dennis at Target Tire.
Honest and not expensive.

If it can wait (and/or for future needs), my boyfriend and I will be arriving on STX in early July, and he is amazing with just about anything mechanical. He's a chemist, but he's always been into fixing motorcycles and cars. He has a 1990 Jeep and has been working on it in preparation for shipping it to STX. (He is also constantly working on his 1980s-1990s BMW motorcycles.) I can't hire him out without asking him first, but sometimes he does fix things as a little side job. He's made some good friends that way, so he must do good work!
