Attention Restaurant Owners...please read & comment
Good Day.
We are wondering how a Kitchen Exhaust System Cleaning Company would do in the USVI? I have spoke to a couple people and they said there is only one company currently offering these services and they are very expensive..... is this true?
We have been in the hood cleaning industry for 20+ years and might enjoy a change of scenery..... We have been contracted to clean in the Bahamas and thought this may be a good service in the USVI as well. If you have time, please add your comments on this.

Certified Hood Cleaning

Well things are funny here. The one company that does hood cleaning now is a relative of the Fire department chief (something along those lines)
Recently, fire inspections were conducted island wide and most restaurants were asked to upgrade/change their hood systems to keep up with fire code. The only person certified to install them? The relative's hood company. See how it works? *-)
I'd say go for it but I'm sure the red tape and resistance to stealing that business will be really frustrating. But, if you made it through that, I'm sure restauranteurs would love a price break.

I found the old discussion links.... I might be onto something????? I'm really not into installation. I'm after the Certification and Cleaning. Fire Prevention so to speak.
I'll kick it around a while and I will call NACO Restaurant Supply. I spoke with a couple people at some of the larger resorts and they said they have the UV and Water Wash hoods there...... I just so happen to be Certified on those systems. My intentions are not to make another hood business angry... but business is business!
