Out here at The Reef. Having to use WIFI for cell and text.

Other issue I see for last few days is with Broadband VI. On island websites work great but anything back off island like Netflix, Amazon Video and Facebook is just crawling.

Hubby just heard at Ziggy's that we have no cell service because the AT&T emergency generator ran out of gas. So we won't have service until someone refuels it or our power comes back on.

Is there a phone number to call and notify someone (AT&T)?

But there's no direct number for AT&T (or whoever maintains the tower) locally, for situations such as this?

i dont know of one. you might have to do a search on this forum. a while back there were att issues where a lot of people were having issues. maybe more than a year ago. see if you find anything there

There are no local technicians for AT&T. The tower site itself is owned by a company in FL. They send people from off island as needed

Well, aren't y'all very blessed on the East End of STX. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with ATT, not in my neighborhood, day before yesterday.

I live 400' up above La Grange in Lil la Grange. Our ATT went out the day before the storm. I was told 3 towers were not functioning in our area. I must drive at least 1/2 mile down to get a signal.

We just got wifi back this afternoon, late. For that, I am grateful. We still have no services except when we run the generator. I'm blessed that it runs everything. I just hate feeding the generator every other day to the tune of $50. Rumor has we will get power back on the 20th. Who knows?!?!?!

Yes we are blessed but still have no phone service. I feel blessed because this storm went north and we were spared what St. Thomas, St. John and the BVI is suffering. Our lack of service here is frustrating but nothing like what they are experiencing.

True, I didn't mean to sound complaining. Yes, I remember well not having electricity for 3 full months after Marilyn in '95 and large gaping hole in my roof continuing to pour rain into my home.

Rosesisland, we also live in Lil Lagrange, but on the side of the hill facing north above Mahogany Road. We have not lost AT&T but signal has been weak. Have not had Viya service since the storm. Power came back Tuesday night, but everything east of us up Mahogany Road is still dark as of last night. LIke you, I'm not complaining; it could have been much worse!

Ernieandmaryjo, I'm at the last house on Rainbow Drive facing west 400' up. We got VIYA last night, out this a.m. Then later on again. Just got ATT back this morning. Still no WAPA, but, large full house generator guzzling up cash to fill 18 gallon tank every other day. Ouch!
Could be much worse and I've had it much worse before. Totally grateful today to finally be"connected" to the world and my children again.

AT&T has an app that you can download for reporting outages called "Mark the Spot" that works great over Broadband.vi (until I lose power and my router).

AT&T's generator at Cotton Valley was not running this morning.
Broadband VI had to store our generator up there, we will run out of battery power some time this evening. BBVI will get up there as soon as possible after the storm.

Your AT&T out today? This is just pathetic.

AT&T CELLPHONE TOWER GENERATOR STOLEN, KNOCKING OUT CELLPHONE SERVICE ON ST. CROIX

Sounds like a job for the VING.

I guess stealing copper wire is not selling too hot on the black market right now so these scumbag, low life, vultures probably figure you can get good $$ for a generator OR they stole it to use themselves.
