AT&T Cell Service STX
Having problems Sunday morning on the East End of STX.
If you are having cell service (no service ) problems call AT&T at 800-331-0500 and tell AT&T.
As usual they are clueless and according to them everything is wonderful in paradise. If no one complains the problem won't get fixed.

Hubby was on the phone with them about an hour. They said no one else had called and that they had no reports of any outages. Jim is right. Everybody has to call.
The power going to the tower was out for almost a day. It was restored late this morning but the battery backup ran out of juice earlier in the morning.
I called ATT Sunday when I was in C'sted about 1400 and they too said nobody had called.
The woman told me that there were outages all over the states b/c of the flooding in the south.
Im calling ATT again.
I live in F'sted and have had no service for 4 days. It was fine until this am but now Im annoyed b/c I pay LOTS of money for my plan.
I just returned from the states Sunday 5/15 and my AT&T wireless connection has worked just fine everywhere I normally use it. I used it at the airport, Plaza West, here in Cane Bay, etc.

The west end tower has been down since 1AM Saturday. That comes from the tech support person I spoke with at 11AM Saturday. Numerous tickets had already been written up about it. As of Monday morning, it's still down
I live south of Cane Bay and use my phone there and east of there. It's been fine.
Just tried to call because I haven't had service @ The reef since Saturday -
AT&T's computers are down... I couldn't help but laugh Hope I didn't offend the poor woman answering my call.
I had a heck of a call with AT&T yesterday. I got one of their top notch crack Customer Service "Professionals", of course. She insisted that there was no outage anywhere near where I live (even though she repeatedly said I live in Virginia) and that if my iPhone wasn't working or receiving data downloads with my email that it had to be my fault and I must not have uploaded the latest software patch from iTunes and I'd just have to do that before anyone at AT&T could possibly help me. The fact that we had no internet due to a storm didn't register with her and her attitude was pretty much "in your face". All I had called about was to get an estimate for when they thought services might be restored to the island since I knew the outage was connected to the storm. I was informed that she didn't show a storm having occurred in Virginia and I was wasting her time as there were no outages reported anywhere. She refused to let me speak with her supervisor and told me that if I couldn't use the iPhone data package and keep my phone updated correctly, I should probably just cancel my service. I might just do that!
And people complain about Customer Service in the islands?
AT&T is back up on West End after being out all weekend!! :S
If you are tired of AT&T going down all the time switch to Choice wireless service. My Choice service stayed up during and after the storm. Choice high speed internet stayed up too. I like Choice.
