How does one find an apt to rent out there?

What is the average pay for someone in the hospitality industry?

I live in NY now but think I may move there depending on the relocation pkg the company offers if any at all.

Can you give me some tips on living there in every and and aspect?

thanks
Ann

Hello Ann,

Most wait until they are on island to secure an apartment. They stay in a small hotel or inn for a few days/weeks looking for a place that suits them. A few people use realtors to help find a place for them. Check out our apartment section for more information. Click on Home at the top-left of this page and then you can access the Apartment/Housing section from the main menu.

What type of work in hospitality?

Give tips is way to open a question. There are about 30 stories written by people that moved/took a pre-move visit to the USVI in our What to Expect section. They are filled with comments, opinions, tips - so definately read through them (again you can access that section from the home page's main menu). Also read through the other sections on employment, taxes, voting, transportation... and then ask all the specific questions you come up. Also you should read the Settlers Handbook for the USVI - at the top of this page its there, click on it for more information/to order.

All the best.
