apple repair+stx
anyone have experience using pcparadise to repair a mac on stx? apple online states they are an authorized repair store. any chance they would be open on the holiday tomorrow?
I wouldn't hold my breath for there being much open tomorrow. You know everyone on island loves their holidays. 🙂 What's wrong with your mac?
I doubt they are open today, but they also aren't a quick fixer. If you give them your computer, expect a few weeks to fix it.
My keyboard and trackpad froze. Then the battery won't charge. Apple won't give support over the phone because I am in the VI. They couldn't get VI zip code to show in their billing system. They couldn't even tell me an authorized repair center. I looked it up on the apple support page to find. Right now my mac is dead. hope i can get it repaired this week. don't want to buy a 130 charger if it's the hard drive. also apple won't ship here. so would have to figure out how to even get a charger sent from the states. oh well that's the islands.

It's a Mac 🙂 Sorry couldn't resist.
Maybe someone else here has a Mac and is willing to let you see if thie charger will charge your battery? If I had one I'd let you try it.
My wife's IPOD broke and was in warranty. They wouldn't ship it back to the VI so she had to ship it back to her parents who then USPS'd it here. It got stolen en-route, and unfortunately her parents didn't insure it so it was just gone. Apple would not be my first choice in the USVI due to their lack of support. For work we buy Dell's with the on site support option and while it can take a few days for them to get here they do send someone. Even after you pay for the on site support you will still save money over a comparable Mac.

I believe PC Paradise is an Apple retailer/repair shop.
I dropped it off at PC Paradise today. Thanks all!
