We need to bring our 2 dogs to STX in July or August. Cost is $13,000-$15,000 for the plane, and it seats up to 9 plus any bags that fit in the weight restrictions. We will take up 3 seats.

Internet was adequate, but not stellar. Upload speeds were subpar. The cost of the move itself is what is holding us back right now. It is possible that the job opportunity will present itself again in a year or two, and we may be more prepared then. Have to get out of the Midwest though! Thinking of the Florida Keys!

Wherever you go, all the very best and may it all be smooth sailing! The islands aren't going anywhere (contrary to comments many of us have often heard from visitors who wonder how close we drift to Puerto Rico in certain seasons!) so maybe a move here will work here some time down the line. scubamom, have you been to the keys? the cost of housing is high there and it is rapidly getting built up. a lot of the keys charm is not there anymore. but it is still a beautiful place to live.

Hello, if this is still coming together this summer, I have 2 dogs (about 70# each) and 3 humans to move to STT. Prefer Aug-Sept for the move, but can be somewhat flexible. Please let me know. TIA
