I often hear how Magen's Bay is around a mile wide. Any idea the length of Lindburgh? I am swimming it lately and would like to know the distance I am swimming.

try google earth - there is a distance tool, not real accurate but will get you close enough

You can input both waypoints into a gps(if you don`t have one, ask a boater).

Mouth of the bay: .54 miles
Mid-way and "skinniest" part: .39 miles
Closer in to the "beach" and a bit wider than mid-way: .41 miles
How's that? 🙂
