Does anyone know of any pharmacies in the USVI that precept student interns or any pharmacists that might be willing to do so in the future?
I finishing my second year of pharmacy school and would like to do one of my fourth year rotations in the USVI. I really need to make some contacts soon for this to happen though! Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

I have never heard of pharmacy interns, but you should certainly give some of the pharmacies a call. Also, contact the pharmacy at http://www.rlshospital.org/Home.aspx and see if they accept interns.Good luck.

Walgreens is getting ready to open a store in St. Thomas so there might be a chance you could get on with them. There also is K-Mart, Doctor's choice, and Drug Farm in STT .....

My friends daughter graduated from pharmacy school last year. She was working as a cashier at a local drugstore a couple of weeks ago. St Thomas will have a new large Wallgreens soon.

Yes unfortunately Walgreens is supposedly coming to St. Thomas which is not good news for all the local independent pharmacies. Everyone seems to be against corporate america taking over the islands but apparently Walgreens is an exception. God forbid we put a Walmart in so we could afford to eat. That being said, I am a pharmacist on St. Croix. You can PM me if you would like to discuss interning at my pharmacy.
