Anyone know a good vet...
Hello
We have 2 labs and are moving to St Thomas in the next few months. My husband is going first to check things out but I was curious if anyone knew if there were any GOOD vets There. My labs are 7 and 8 and in good health but I still want to be sure if we needed a vet we can find one that knows what they are talking about.... Ny dogs are my kids!
Andy Williamson is on the south side in Frenchman's Bay; John Moore is at Red Hook Veterinary Clinic. Both are excellent and I've used them both over more than two decades. There is also Imperial Animal Hospital further towards town but although I've not had any personal dealings with them I've heard some negatives from friends.
Andy Williamson, hands down overall winner!
I have taken my animals to all the vets over the course of the years and Dr. Williamson is the best.
I would not use Imperial, ever again.
Thanks. also is there a place to find god quality dog food?
you can order from petco-shipping is a bit high
All the supermarkets plus KMart carry a variety of food and the vets carry the "high end" food you might be looking for. A friend of mine orders cat food for her very finicky furries from off island from somewhere which doesn't charge shipping. She's off island for a week but I'll try and remember to ask her for that information when she returns. (My cats get lucky when she orders high end food that her furballs disdainfully refuse to eat!)
There is a pet shop out near Cost U More, They carry dog food. I believe there is one at Yaacht Haven Grande as well as at Crown Bay Marina. In CBM, I am not sure if they sell food or just do grooming.
There is also one in Red Hook in East End Galleria - Pure'ly Paws. Same owner of Caribbean Saloon & Six Fifteen Couture.
