Anyone heard of Managed Freight?

Hi,

Does anyone have a contact name and number for Managed Freight and the services they perform? I am considering shipping my vehicle from Miami to St. Thomas and heard their name come up several times. I couldn't find anything on the web so i'd appreciate any help. I live in Miami but don't want to have to drive to West Palm Beach (Tropical Shipping) in order to deliver my car. Surely, there must be partner companies that relieve the hassel from folks like us.

Thanks

Andre

Good morning Andre,

My husband and I are currently orking with Lee of Managed Freight with regard to shipping our household goods and cars. He has been very professional and is very knowledgeable. He also responds promptly to emails. His email address is: info@managedfreight.com. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email me.

Thanks Streamlining.

Which city are you moving from? Any idea where Lee is located?

Here is his phone # 1-340-277-4504. He is based in the VI, I think St. Croix. He responds quickly to all e-mails. They did a good job of tracking down my car as well as to keep me informed when Tropical shipped my car to St. Croix instead of St. Thomas. I actually did not have to worry about anything. He had a gentleman by the name of Tony to do the registration here in St. Thomas. It was actually a pretty painless transfer. They had my car at the airport waiting for me when I returned from vacation. Saved taxi fare as well running around trying to get to my car when I got back.

Very professionally handled.

Steve n,

Good to know. Tell me, did you deliver the vehicle to Tropical in West Palm Beach or did someone pick it up and take it there and do the leg work for you? I need to move in about 1 week and I am trying to get everything wrapped up; everything from shipping the car to the household contents. Can Managed Freight hlp me with that being he's in St. Croix? Does he have a partner here stateside?

Thanks

Andre

Hi Andre,

Sorry that I was unable to respond until now. My husband and I are moving from Southern Oregon to St. Thomas. This is a huge move. As Steve indicated, Lee is out of St. Croix. Lee telephoned us the other night to inform us that the shipping quotes he was getting for us may take a week. Apparently, the people he deals with are in contract negotiations. We were very impressed with Lee taking the time to call us directly. It is very hard to find a company who is personable and cares. As far as I am concerned many stateside companies could take a lesson from Lee. We are very happy with Lee and the level of service he provides. Before finding Lee on this board, we contacted Tropical Shipping twice; never heard from them and a another company out of California; never heard from them either, emailed them three times. In reading the other posts, it appears you did contact Lee. Is he taking care of shipping your car for you? Good luck with your move!

Sorry, Andre. Only dealt with him in regards to the car. I dropped if off in West Palm since I had things to do up there. Give him an e-mail. He always responded, even in the beginning part when I was just strictly getting quotes.
