Hey ya'll! Just curious to know if there is anybody there from Mississippi. I grew up in the south about an hour north of New Orleans. Can't wait to get there! Thanks.

Crenshaw, no one every heres of it. I actually just got back from there. It is about 45 minutes south of Tunica
Very poor little town, but family there are cotton and soy farmers

Oh, and I am there as soon as my contract here ends (Dec 19th) and get the dogs to the vet, somewhere around Jan 10th.

Well - we had been looking for someplace warm to retire; had looked at Belize, costa rica, etc. Had never been to the VI's but didn't think we would like St. Thomas, although we went there to visit. Then went to St. Croix and fell in love with it. Bought a condo a month or so later.

jewel do you know Hope Gibson? She runs a jewelry business on ST Croix. She is one of my good frends aunts.

Anyone from Mississippi OR Atlanta, GA? I grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and been living in Atlanta since '98. Next stop, STX. 🙂

vasecs, how long have you been in STX?
Growing up, I spent many weekends and summers on the coast. My family lived in Gulfport/ Biloxi for about a year before deciding to move back to Jackson. Had other relatives that lived there, though. Very fond memories. Actually thought about moving there, too, but decided on St. Croix.

Have been coming to stx since 03'. Moved here full time 5 months ago. I was born and grew up in Gpt, lived in Biloxi for awhile. Left coast in 95, moved to Madison and loved it! Would move back in a heartbeat.

:-). LOL. Really? Jackson will always be home.
Still too much adventure in me/ us. Home is great to visit, just don't want to live there. Maybe when we retire.
What brought you to STX? I have been coming down since '02. Got married there in '06. Moving simply out of desire. I have great friends that live there. Time just feels right.
I will say, if you like it, you really like it. If you don't, you really don't. Unfortunately, never really a middle of the road.
Hope it gets better. Madison, it ain't, but I really like it done there!
