At 6:45 my wife and I felt a tremor at our house in the hills above Salt River. I guess it could have been a truck on the Scenic Drive but it would have to have been a huge one. Anybody else feel anything?

Felt it in Estate St. John. I thought it was the dog under my chair, moving around, then realized he was on his bed.

Apparently, it was a magnitude 4.0. See Weather Underground Earthquake activity.

This quake was quite shallow, which probably explains why it was so widely felt.

I recommend everyone sign up at Vialerts.gov to get the info on things like this...they were on-the-spot with this quake.

Interesting that there are TWO different reports on the gov site.
One has it north of St Thomas,
the other has it just north of St Croix as of 8pm tonight (maybe they'll change it)
