Any pay at pump gas stations on STX?
Does anyone know of any pay-at-the-pump gas stations on St Croix? I haven't seen any lately, but do not stop at every station I pass. One that used to be isn't any longer...and haven't run across any others yet. Have a credit card that gives me $ but only if the charge is made at the pump and not inside...
Gas City on Northshore Road, in Princess I think. Also Shuama at the Traffic light in Sunny Isle, closest pump to the store. Gotta love cash back
Gas City for sure. And the pumps are on 24/7.
How about that new station out by Echo Valley? Looks modern enough to have it. Have never pulled in, though.
Thanks to both of you...I will certainly use those stations. Had no idea about Shuama...and I get 5% back, which is sure nice.
Both Gas City stations on Northside Road have pay at the pump, as does the one in Echo Valley just north of Midland Road, Sam's Gas.

Just be aware that not all the pumps at Gas City are pay at pump.
true, only 2 at each bay are pay at the pump. when i am out that way i use them . in the states you can pay with cash at the pump like you do with debit/credit cards
None of the gas stations I use on STT have this service.
Are there any here that do?
Sam's Gas Station's pumps are "pay at the pump" capable but have never been activated, and there are no plans to do so. I frequently get gas there and asked the clerk about it yesterday as well. He said it would take a $7000 plus investment to set the pumps up and they did not think it would increase business significantly.

Gasworks in Bovoni
Thanks sttanon.
That's a bit further off my usual route.
What's the price of gas there these days?

That's interesting. The few times I stopped at Sam's Gas, I only picked up grocery items, not gas. I just assumed that the pumps actually worked!
It's also interesting to me that the owner doesn't think it will spur business. I know that my wife and I only fill up at Gas City, precisely because it's pay at the pump. We never stop anywhere else unless it's an emergency.

I miss the days when you drove into a gas station and the attendant filled your tank, cleaned your windshield, checked your oil and fluid levels and took your payment.

Me too.
And you got a dish, also.
I too frequently use the pay at the pump feature at Gas City but I do find it particularly annoying when I have to go inside to get my receipt because the printer at the pump is out of paper - kind of defeats the whole purpose of paying at the pump. One advantage of going inside at Sam's is to pick up the free 2 liter bottle of Coke that comes with a fill up. And if you don't want a coke product then they typically take a dollar or so off the tab.
I went to Gas City and used the credit card at the pump. Will get a $1.50 credit on my cc bill when they post the charge, so makes it a little better price.

You can always go vacation at the Jersey Shore and get your gas filled:D
😉
Or you can go to Oregon. NJ and OR both prohibit self-serve gas.
Be sure not to forget your S&H Green Stamps.
We never had green stamps in the VI.
I remember them from visits to the states as a child.
Didn't they give them out for groceries?
