Any need for competant carpenters/painters/handyman
I have some contractor friends from Nevada (#1 foreclosure state) who are looking for work as carpenter and painters. They were my go to guys stateside during the real estate boom, who actually did competant work and showed up when they said they would and did good work for a good price.
Is anyone looking to hire someone like these guys to do work here ranging from re-models to handyman work on STT or STJ?
Let me know and I will forward it on to them.
Thanks!
I can't speak for STT, but on STJ, the qualified carpenters who are already here don't have enough work. Even some well established tradespeople have left island in search of work, and the ones that are here aren't booking as much as they used to. Same with painting. It will probably turn around eventually, but it hasn't yet.
You might have them check with JPK Construction on St Thomas. They seem to be doing a lot of stuff. There are a lot of older condos that need new kitchens, bathrooms, etc. Someone could make a business out of these smaller projects, IMHO. Some of the successful businesses do large projects only.
