Coffee maker in the Water Island house getting a little ratty. Went into Consumer Reports and found one that matched our requirements (makes great coffee, automatically shuts off without having to "program" it to shut off - "program" is always lost when there's a power outage, stainless steel/not breakable carafe, coffee maker-for-dummies, etc.) Checked the other reviews and generally folks are happy with this one.

Zojirushi EC-BD15 Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker

Everywhere we looked the price was $90 but on the following site we found the price $89-$20(instant rebate)-$5(discount if purchase is over a certain amount)+$10 (shipping to the Virgin Islands via USPS). Great price. Great coffee maker. And, this site ships to the VI.

I'm so excited. ok. geez. it's ONLY a coffee maker. but.....I'm sharing my excitement anyway.

That's a good deal. I think that model makes a very good mixer or maybe it's a breadmaker.

Trade, I had never heard of this brand before.....still don't know how to pronounce it. Hopefully it's a good one. Just glad we don't have to add one more baggage fee to our trip down in a couple of weeks. Used to be we could cram 70LBs worth of stuff in duffel bags and check them as baggage - 3 per person - and take many of the materials we needed to complete maintenance projects. Those days are gone! Though, maybe these new rules have perfect timing - we're getting too old to be able to manage getting 6 70LB or, now, 50LB bags from STT to Water Island. USPS is our best friend!

I love fresh coffee, and it's hard to find here on Stx where I'm at.

Our condo came with TWO coffee makers, and I noticed that BOTH had mildew inside the tank where you pour the water.
So....I've been reticent to make coffee with these standard drip coffee maker.

Anybody else have this problem? Solutions that don't require fastidiousness?

I used to have a coffee press, but didn't like the mess.

You could try running vinegar through it then a couple cycles of clear water.

We have a Tassimo coffee machine. (tassimo.com) I love it because I can make a single cup of coffee, tea, latte, cappuccino, etc. without wasting a bunch of water. And, it has a water filter, so I fill it with tap water.

They ship free to USVI for automated orders over $30.00. They ship free for USVI for regular orders over $40.00.

Because I'm on an automatic shipment every 6-8 weeks (you choose how often you want coffee shipped), they also include free samples of other coffees and teas. So, not only do I receive my regular order, but there's always a bit of a surprise waiting when I open my box.

I was behind a woman at the PO picking up boxes from Walmart.com.....I doubt the shipping is free but it is good to know they will ship thru the PO.

Are you sure walmart ships here? i have been told they will but when i tried to order something last year i received an email back saying they will not ship here. Confused. wish they would. and if so what would be the shipping cost be? i wonder if they "roll back the prices on shipping"?

Always try finding things on QVC. they ship and have alot of different products.

Walmart does ship to the VI. I purchased bath towel sets and some other stuff from them online. It's been a couple of years though so not the most current information.

Thats when you need vi cargo. Works really well if you can get free shipping to their FL location.
