Another deadly weekend in the USVI
At least our murder totals are far lower than they were last year.
Its getting rough out there
It had been a great day on Cane Bay Beach, we spend most of the day there. Very mellow ocean, lots of people on the beach and in the water, many families with kids...
It was great.
Later in the afternoon more and more people with boombox cars and loud motorbikes started showing up, ..., and things just didn't feel mellow anymore...
We decided to leave, stopped at Of The Wall for pizza and went home.
Apparently we left just minutes before this all happened... it makes you think..

Oh fie upon you for interjecting real stats! Shame on you!
I'm wondering who died and what happened ?
heard a cook from angry nates was shot and killed somewhere in town over the weekend as well
I understand there will be arrests today thanks to witnesses coming forward in St Thomas. Also for the one on Backstreet a couple of weeks ago. Hope it's so.

I read about 35 in the VI and stx is only at 15. We were close to double that last year I believe.
Arrests may be so, but if they rely on witnesses for convictions justice will never be served. We need CSI in the VI so there's less reliance on human evidence. And that's just one issue that weakens our justice system...

Yes. We are lower this year than last year. We are still higher than the worst location in the "states", New Orleans.
Let them keep killing each other off.
the problem with that sunshinefun is that innocent people get caught in the cross fire

violence begets violence.
