Ambulances
Hello all you lucky souls living in the beauty of the Virgin Islands. I am hoping someone might be able to help me find contact info for the folks responsible for ambulance service on St. Thomas. I am a paramedic with every intention of settling on your amazing island but would like to learn more about employment prospects. Thank you all. Hope to see you soon.

The local ambulance service has offices based in the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital, if you call the main hospital # you can have the operator transfer you to the office.
The HOspital # is 340-776-8311
ST Thomas is on East coast time (no daylight savings though, so time doesn't change)so remember that when calling, the main people don't get into their office until around 9am. Avon Chesterfield and/or Eva are 2 people you can ask for.
I have worked with the EMS folks pretty closely and they are a great group of people.
Jeanne...right
Actually The Virgin Islands is on Atlantic Standard time. That means that when the US is on standard time the usvi is one hour earlier than Eastern Standard time. However when The US goes on "Daylight savings time" the Virgin Islands do not change..They keep the same time...they do not change. So the time becomes the same as Eastern Daylight savings time.. Are you confused? I know I am...
Jeanne Thank you for the info. I will give them a call.
