Am I Crazy?
I just wanted to get an opinion from someone that is living in the islands. I sold my car and bought a one-way ticket to STT ariving Tuesday the 6th. I have enough to get a place, but would need to find employment as soon as possible. I do have a college degree, but would not turn my nose at waiting tables or selling "trinckets" on the beach. My question is am I a total moron or is it feasible to find a job in a short amount of time once I arrive. Thanks for your opinions and would love to hear any other suggestions from anyone else on anything else I may need to be aware of.

Sounds like you have made up your mind. What is your degree in? There are professional jobs available in some areas. No trinkets on the beach, thank heaven. If you are thinking of applying for food/beverage jobs, make a beeline to the Health Dept at the RLS Hospital to get your health card- you must have it for work, and there is a bit of delay. I hope you are bringing enough $ to keep yourself going for a minimum of a couple of months... You might want to look up the Villa Fairview web site for reasonable short term rental...If you are arriving on the 6th, get the Island Trader when it comes out on Wednesday morning- free paper full of ads. Now as to whether you are crazy or not...who am I to judge?! 😉 Good luck!
