Why CNBC would give that no good, cheating, lying scum bag air time is beyond my comprehension.

I believe the subject refers to Sir R. Allen Stanford (not Sanford), the guy who allegedly ran the Ponzi scheme.

Yes I was referring to Stanford. I would like to see his "Sir" title stripped from his name but only the legal powers in Antigua could do that. I know the legal system presumes innocence until proven guilty, he's as guilty of the same kind of crap Bernie Madoff pulled off for years before getting caught.

I believe Antigua did take away the 'sir" late last year.

I watched the interview, quite interesting, and I do believe they said he'd been stripped of his knighthood.

My impression was that he blames all of the mess on his accounting people, and seems to maintain that any wrongdoing was their fault ... not his. Still arrogant after all that's happened ... what a piece of work! So sad to see the stories of people that have lost their life savings, but I couldn't help but think "If it seems too good to be true ... it probably is" and in hindsight, I'm sure they're all saying the same thing.

I know I had high hopes when he came to STX and was doing so much good for the island, and when the walls came tumbling down I was very disappointed, and stunned.

Very unfortunate that he wasn't stopped before it got so far, there were certainly warnings from former employees and red flags aplenty.
