Abortion Providers
Where would one go if they are in need of an abortion? I looked in the Yellow Pages but couldn't find a provider. If you know of one, please post!
Which island? There is no "abortion provider" on any island here but there are OBGYN physicians who'll work within the parameters of the law to provide the service. A little more specificity would be helpful.
Look in the Yellow Pages under Birth Control & Family Planning. There's a listing on STT. http://www.viphonebook.com/
Is there such services in the VI?
Don't know for sure, but wouldn't be surprised if you had to go to PR. Best wishes.
Check with Dr Johnson at Beeston Hill Med. Center
Try adoption. I know 20 families who will adopt that baby right now.

Many many US children are looking for homes.
Giving medical advice to a stranger who asked a legitimate question is presumptuous.
pdills, adoption is not that easy down here. many times the government puts up many more road blocks here than in the states.
this should not turn into a moral debate like the one on pet adoption did.
this person and the one who wanted information on a new home for a pet just need the information and not a debate
Call any local OB/GYN and ask them. They should be able to direct you to someone if they do not do it themselves.
I actually called JFL some years ago with this precise question. I didn't need an abortion, but I was curious whether one was obtainable in the VI. I was shuttled around to several different individuals before I was given the name of a doctor (only the last name, and no phone number) and hung up on. Further sleuthing revealed that you pretty much had to go to PR. Don't know if things have changed since then, but if the continued deterioration of JFL is any indication, my guess is no.
Ask your doctor for a referal. Abortions are legal and available in the VI should you choose to have one.
As stjohnjulie stated: Call any OB/GYN for information.
I might add that I believe that it is a woman's choice and her choice ONLY to make any decision as it pertains to giving birth, adoption or abortion. It's not your body, life or set of circumstances that may dictate such a decision nor is it anyone else's right to impose or force someone to do any of the aforementioned.
There are millions of unwanted, abused, neglected, hungry and homeless children in the world just waiting to be adopted, right this minute so please, PDills, tell your 20 friends to do so.
