Good morning all, this is a long-overdue thanks to my “family” of participants on this forum who from the very start gave me the confidence to make my move forward here to the Territory, dating back to 2017.
From the start, this has been an invaluable resource to me (and others I’m sure) on everything from looking for housing, to shipping my household items and Jeep, to bringing my aging dog with me (my pug Maggie is still kicking at 15 yrs+, but mostly sleeping, lol), to understanding the business licensing process here, etc. Your generosity and patience in sharing helpful information with others continues and it brings a smile to my face whenever I read the posts from others, asking the same questions that I once asked...can’t help but be excited for them embarking on their own adventure as they set out for, I’m now humbled to say “our” beautiful islands.
Keep up the good cause, and I look forward to future posts (always learning something here). Postscript- am happy to say, in addition to maintaining my real estate broker licenses in Michigan and Florida I did finally get my real estate license (broker level) here for the Territory, and am on-board as a Broker at the premier company here in St Thomas/St John (please only private message me if you need any assistance with your real estate needs, I will return your message for further consultation).

You've picked a good time to take your leap of faith. With the economy booming, it’s a great time to get into buisness here. As always, some pessimism exists on this forum, but these islands are short of hard working people dedicated to any chosen profession. If your willing to commit the time and energy, and have a viable buisness plan, you can do well. Many opportunities still exist, tearing yourself away from sea, sun, & sand (And those delicious rum cocktails) is the hardest part.
