As the end of July approaches I sit and ponder the thought of the loss of another great island feature. I have reason to believe the Tart has decided to close the Toad and Tart on STT. More years ago then I wish to remember, when I can remember, several Friends got together to close a tavern in style. I believe Anna deserves to be sent out in style. Although I do not have the connections on the island for a hearse and casket to officially bury the Toad and Tart it may be fun to dress as if going to a funeral for a visit on her final weeks for Misery hour, road kill and warm beer. Thank You Anna you are a blessing. Come August we will not have this great place.

I would love to participate but we do not return to the island until the end of August. The Toad & Tart has been our favorite drinking/dining establishment for many years. The old Tart always made her guests feel right at home. The closing is indeed like an old friend passing. Cheers, you old Tart, and good wishes for the next chapter.
