600 days and Counting

Good AFternoon,
What a great day, we are at our 600 day count down!!!!!!
Only 600 days til we make our Big Move to STX. while we were on STX in Febuary we once again realized that STX is our new home and we can't wait to get there.
We understand it will be a huge change from SW Michigan, but we are coming well prepared thanks alot to this site and talking with many people while on STX.
We are planning to pay for our condo in cash and prepay a yr of condo fees so Monies for housing will not be a worry.
As for Jobs, I am not to concerned, as a graduate of The Culinary Insistute of America in Hyde Park, New York. I know a job in the hospitality industry would be easy to find. Currently working as the Captain in a Fine DInning restuarant I know good servers and front of the house management is needed on STX. My Partner will be retiring after 30 yrs with SBC the Local Phone company. and we are not worried about him finding a job either.
We are working with a GREAT realator Diana Robinson from Paradise properties.
While on the Island we checked out the prices of vehicles adn found Ivan from the Jeep dealership great and offered us some premove advice.
We in general have found everyone Very Nice, and we love the way people great each other witha good morning, afternoon evening etc.. it is amazing how people smile both young and old with this greeting. we feel this is such a fantastic ice breaker We find ourselves using this greeting in our daily lives up here in Michigan.
THanks once again for everyones input and I look forward to reading everyones input in the future til we make our big move.
