3 year old veteran??
He probably mispoke. And yes, even presidents should be allowed to mix up a few words--what's the big deal? It's kinda obvious his father couldn't have served in WWII for the United States given his age and the fact that he was Kenyan, not an American citizen. It's not like he could be deliberately trying to blow smoke given the facts on the record.
President Obama was raised by his maternal grandfather who was his father in all respects of the name-- and who did indeed serve in WWII. Perhaps a freudian slip? (i.e. wanted to say grandfather, but said father because his grandpa was like a father to him). Geez, give the guy a break and worry about more important things than a simple word confusion!!!
Lighten up
Just sharing a clip.

If that's the case, then what's "Amazing" about it??? Either you think that Obama is lying or you think he mispoke. You can't have it both ways.
Misspoke obviously.
Political comedy!
Well, since the original "mis-statement" of Obama wasn't that funny--forgive me, I really don't see the humor in saying my father instead of grandfather, and since the video was posted with an article that took him seriously (it said "what else could he be lying about"), I took the posting as someone trying to flame people. Or as bait to start up some anti-Obama /anti-liberal /anti democrat fervor.
No flame or bait here.
I laugh at them all when they say or do something stupid. These are the guys elected to run our country!!
Bush, Reagan, Clinton, Nixon, George W, Carter, Ford,........It's Obama's turn.
George W. was fun to laugh at.......right?
I will admit that sharing it here may have been inappropriate.(td) I revisited it and see where that could stir the pot.
I do think a President totally misspeaking is funny.:D
You still did not say what you thought was "Amazing" about it. Maybe you just misspoke. Amazing...
Gee he just misspoke about his 3 year old father and about visiting all 57 states.
What about poor Dan Quayle and misspelling Tomato? The press and the liberals crucified him for years. Typical!
I don't recall any liberals or press questioning Dan Quayle's honesty ("what else could he be lying about?" ) because he misspelled tomato.
Perhaps I'm just "misremembering".
No they never called him a liar, just dumb.
That's kinda my point....
It was "potatoe"
yes it was.
I suppose it might be suggested that the relevance of this topic to our Forum might be that the President of the United States is the President of the USVI. But it's a stretch.
