Did people see this in the Daily News today? I guess if you book airfare on bookit.com between 10/9 and 11/15 to the VI, "some may be able to book several nights in a participating hotel for 25 cents....I never used that site before, but that is interesting.....! Carambola or Wyndham Sugar Bay for a quarter....nice.
For 25 days, the V.I. Department of Tourism is offering a special promotion for visitors in honor of the recently issued Virgin Islands quarter.
When travelers book airfare to the territory - for travel dates between Oct. 9 and Nov. 15 - they may be able to book several nights in a participating hotel for just 25 cents.
The "Cent-sational" vacation package includes a nightly rate of just 25 cents at participating hotels, for a maximum stay of three nights; a $25 per person dining certificate; a $25 per person activities certificate; and a Virgin Islands commemorative quarter Scotiabank coin set.
The Cent-sational package must be booked on BookIt.com within the 25-day period of Oct. 9 through Nov. 2, for travel between Oct. 9 and Nov. 15.
Hotels participating in the Cent-sational promotion include Bolongo Bay Beach Resort, Carambola Beach Resort and Spa, Club St. Croix, Hibiscus Beach Resort, Hotel Caravelle, Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Beach Resort, Point Pleasant Resort, Sapphire Beach Resort, Sapphire Village, Secret Harbour Beach Resort, The Palms at Pelican Cove, Windward Passage Hotel, and the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa.
The deal applies to new bookings only. There are a limited number of packages available and individual hotels may establish blackout dates. The 25-cent rate does not include taxes or resort fees.
