Goodness..had reservations on a Wednesday night...not a parking place within a mile! After driving up and down the road for 30 minutes decided it could wait. Yep and they called the next day to ask why we didn't show....Yes we told them exactly why.

Poor parking to non existant...couldn't tell you about the food.

Tippi: If you have reservations and can't make it, the proper thing to do is call and let them know. Even if you are angry about parking. 😉

East Ender....We tried for over 30 minutes to find a parking spot. Is it our fault 13 doesn't offer enough parking for the bar patrons and peole that want to eat ? They knew we were looking for a place to park! Part of the reason for calling us was to see if we wanted to rebook. We told them when they get a handle on parking we will try them.

Tippi: They are a restaurant on the side of a road. I don't know how they are going to get a handle on parking. I think its is too bad that such a great place opened in such a bad location, parking-wise. There are several places out here on the east end (with parking!) that I would have enjoyed seeing them take over! I hear your anger...

Many previous incarnations at the same location have survived the parking problem - Ferrari's was so busy when Craig and Sally ran it that cars parked for 1/2 a mi. in each direction on a nightly basis for years - drop the passengers off at the door and one person parks and walks - hey, parking in Red hook costs money, towing, booting or walking in many cases as well. Plenty of parking at Yacht Haven Grand - do you like the restaurants there? Not a lot of easy parking in Frenchtown at night, especially baseball nights - park and walk some, seems to work there too.

Yikes....understand we had another couple with us....standing in the bar area waiting. Remember there is an apartment next door on both sides, & a convenience store not to mention we don't drive a small car and one of us has a handicap! Parking a mile down on a dark road wasn't an option we wanted.

If a person drives a beat up POS and doesn't have a handicap then parking probably wouldn't be a problem. You could park the POS on the dark road and if it gets hit its just another ding, as well as you could move quickly off the road by foot so you wouldn't get hit by the traffic.

Well, next time drive with the other couple, drop off the handicapped person & the healthiest can walk. Or book an early dinner.

On Crown Mt. road - rt 33 for those who have a clue about the road #'s - on the North side in Estate Dorothea - west of 4 Corners intersection, west of Friendly gas station, west of Ag Station and Fire Co.E, west of Bryan's Nursery. Any of those help??
Used to be Deano's, Ferrari's, Mutt and Jeffs, Northside Bar and grille,Entre Nous, Lulu's, Hazels and probably a few others that I don't remember.
From Nisky intersection it is up over the top on the Main Road on the northside and before any of the landmarks I mentioned. 774-6800

great menu, service and ambiance. i and some girls ate there tonight, and we especially enjoyed the focaccia, some had seafood, some had steak, there was a fantastic-looking veggie entree on the menu (a "purse!"), and the desserts were most enjoyable.

neither the menu nor the wine list are what i'd call extensive, but experience gives the management/owners the ability to come up with a collection that will satisfy everyone at the table. prices were decent for such fine cuisine.

as for food quality, i exclaimed that i felt as though they had opened the kitchen just for me! food piping hot, crisp where it should have been, tender where it should have been ... and it was all about the perfect blend of good flavors.

we took an earlier reservation and we were not late... and not disappointed. ya gotta go.

Anita,
Sorry we missed you. Deb and I went last night with another couple. I have to agree the food, service and atmosphere were all good and priced like most places here on island. The parking is a bit of an issue so be carefull getting out of the car. We knew ahead of time about the parking so we only took one car.
