“Yesterday’s Dreamers Tomorrow’s Stars” Musical on STX
The last two performances of the musical, “Yesterday’s Dreamers Tomorrow’s Stars,” will be at 7pm Fri 4/23 (tonight) and 7pm Sat 4/24 at Country Day School on STX. I went last weekend and I was impressed at the high quality of talent which came together for this show. Crucians, please go and enjoy a real treat!
Broadway veteran director Tim Graphenreed wrote and directed the play. The story takes place on St. Croix, has lots of references to local culture, lots of humor, an interesting storyline, and some great music. The performers are from 10 different schools on STX, and there are some really good actors and singers in the group.
This is an entire musical play, about St. Croix, written by a Broadway pro! And the world premiere performances are on St. Croix. Later, the play is slated to tour the country and the world. I doubt that other audiences will appreciate all the stuff about St. Croix as much as we do, so that’s why it’s such a treat to see it here among fellow Crucians.

There have been some fellow VI message board contributors involved in the project as well. Support the kids, support your friends, support the island.
I can't get the songs out of my brain.
Great show, I saw it last weekend.
The kids do such a great job.
How Did Closing weekend go?
Closing night was a blast!!! The Delegate to Congress came Friday night and the Governor came Saturday night!!! (thanks to my wife for dropping that hint in the right ears 😉 ) That's a far cry from previous governors who couldn't find St. Croix on a Map.
I've never been a part of a school production that built and got stronger each night with no lulls.
Good times, and Huge Thanks to CAtoSTX for her help in making it a success!
The only trouble is...what do we do to top THAT?
