Then what opens in the parking lot tonight? Just the rides?
I think it is just the Carnival rides.
And, I understand that all the weird rerouting we have endured in downtown will be suspended starting this evening. So, remember the road will be two ways!
BTW, I went to my first Carnival queen show and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! I loved it and would definitely recommend it to others.
I thought they decided that Mano's was there illegally and were not going to allow anyone to take over the lease. Hmm, curiouser and curiouser.
EE, was Mano's the Dominican bar in the parking lot, next to the pay booths? I know some people who must be VERY sad it is gone.
Senate granted a new lease, it was there illegally. Now its legal. Go see, Mike is opening it tonight.
Okika: I don't think it was Dominican! The guy who owned it was from Anguilla at some point. (I know I am going to get corrected on this if I am wrong!)
agv: Are you a friend of the restauranteer? WHo is Mike? What is the concept? I have to tell you, I am not crazy about the name.
Yes, the Kiddie Village opened tonight. The Adult Village will be on Monday, however, some may open earlier and are not hassled!
Manno was shot at his home last year. Manno was from St. Maarten EE.
I am appalled that the Senate granted them a new lease amid the controversy as how it expanded illegally. Maybe the Governor will veto it!

Well, Anguilla is next door to St Maarten, isn't it? 😉
Yes, I know the restauranteer Mike. He named it McNasty's, because that was his childhood nickname. I'm not so crazy about it either.
He opened the bar friday, and will reopen the restaurant after Carnival. Mike was good friends with Manno, he actually had his original lease from Manno, then Manno was stabbed. So he had to go through the government. The place has alot of history and personality, I'm glad senate and the governor approved the lease.
