N.O.R.M.L. in the VI
Anyone interested in learning more about NORML here in the VI, please contact me by PM or e-mail....
I'm down with it, Marty. This is long overdue .Sign me up. My particular interest is safe access to medical cannabis and decriminalizing possession of small quantities by responsible adults.
Hey I read that Barney Frank - the Congressman from Mass. has a bill in Congress to drop federal penalties for marijuana possession . We waste a lot of money chasing & locking up non-violent drug users. Now if they would just tax it - maybe the economy wouldn't be quite so bad. And doesn't the VI get to vote in congress now?
Yep, Donna Christiansen can be contacted to Vote by going here: http://groups.google.co.vi/group/normlvi/browse_thread/thread/232b68821d3766f6?hl=en You should join us, Linda...if interested, whether it be an anonymous supporter or whatever, we can use all the people we can get to get the word out! Contact me to join.....
In order for us to register our Chapter here in the VI, we need to have 5 "National" NORML members...we currently have four. Anyone out there already a member? Or, for $25, you can become one here https://secure.norml.org/join/ and you will be given a complimentary USVINORML membership, we'll include you as a charter member and will give you a free T-shirt as soon as we get them.
thanks for this info.
i think that it is important that all people who believe in this cause (whether they use for religious, recreational or medical purposes or not) make their voices heard.
i have written to both the president and our delegate to congress.
