What hurrican precautions do people take. Or is it just a wait and see basis

Based on the 11am report, we'll probably only get Tropical Storm (39 - 73 mph) force winds from Earl if he stays on his current track, but I'm prepared...put up all my shutters, put my Harleys inside, got three tanks of gas for the generator, cleared everything from on and under the decks, went to the store and got a bunch of canned goods, candles (can't run the generator during the peak winds due to salt spray in the air), water...I'm ready! 🙂
