Fire Poi Classes for All Ages

Want to learn how to spin fire?!?!

Maybe you're not ready for fire yet. That's cool, too.

By popular request, I will now be teaching poi classes for adults and children. Poi is a performance art, dance, great exercise, and fire toy! We'll begin by using "sock poi," which are harmless and NOT flammable. The classes will happen twice a week, and are not mandatory or taught in any stringent order. This means you can come and go as you please! I'll be focusing on individuals as well as the group as a whole.

I recently taught a class of students at Country Day School for Mini Gusto, and it went fabulously! I will be using a model of that class for these public courses. It's a ton of fun, and a great way to spend some time outdoors doing something NEW and exciting!!

RSVP is not necessary, but it is appreciated. I will provide practice poi, which you are welcome to take home for a nominal fee (materials: $7). The classes are $10 per person, and children are welcome if supervised.

First Class will be held this Thursday, April 21st at the Gazebo on the Christiansted Fort Lawn at 5:30pm.
